About us

Welcome to the Watertown Arts and Culture!

Watertown Arts and Culture (WAC) is currently in the early stages of development, and we are excited to build something truly special for the community. As a startup non-profit, we are laying the groundwork to create a centralized cultural hub for Jefferson County. Our mission is to foster creativity, celebrate local talent, and provide educational opportunities that inspire cultural exchange and engagement.

While we are still in the process of securing a permanent space, we are actively gathering community support, forging partnerships, and developing plans for upcoming programs and events. Your involvement, whether through volunteering, donations, or simply spreading the word, helps make this vision a reality.

Our Vision

The future of WAC is vibrant, inclusive, and rooted in the rich artistic traditions of our community. Once fully established, the Watertown Center for Arts and Culture will serve as a dynamic, year-round space for visual and performing arts. Our goal is to offer artist studios, gallery spaces, and performance venues that provide a platform for local, emerging, and established artists alike.

As the center grows, we aim to host a wide range of community-based programs, including workshops, artist residencies, interactive exhibits, and cultural events that celebrate both the history and future of art in Jefferson County. We are committed to creating a welcoming environment where creativity can flourish, and we hope to offer a safe, inclusive space for people of all ages to explore their artistic potential.

In the coming months and years, we will expand our offerings to include special themed events and collaborative projects with regional artists and organizations. We look forward to welcoming you to a center that will enrich our community’s cultural landscape for generations to come.

Our Commitment to the Community

We believe that art is for everyone, and our programs are designed to be inclusive, offering opportunities for individuals and families to engage with art in meaningful ways. We are committed to creating a space where local artists can thrive, and the broader community can experience the transformative power of creativity.
